Grooving inserts are indexable carbide inserts designed for machining different types of grooves on workpieces, including external radial grooves, internal bore grooves and face axial grooves. Typical applications include O-ring grooves, snap ring grooves, oil grooves, thread pre-grooves and other precision recess profiles. They can also handle light parting-off for small workpieces.
Manufactured from high-quality cemented carbide substrate, our grooving inserts feature high hardness, bending strength and impact resistance. Advanced PVD coatings such as TiAlN, TiCN and AlTiSiN are applied to reduce friction, resist built-up edge and extend tool life. The precision ground cutting edge ensures consistent dimensional accuracy and good workpiece surface quality during continuous mass production.
Different chipbreaker styles are optional for various materials and cutting conditions. Double-edge and single-edge designs are available to meet different depth-of-cut requirements. We support custom profiles, special widths and OEM packaging upon customer request.
